Ritz Carlton Sarasota | Alison + Steven

Working with destination brides is nothing new to us, as 50% of our clients live out of state and are planning a destination or home state wedding. For Alison who is originally from Boca Raton she wanted a Florida destination wedding ... but opted for Sarasota, and she couldn’t have picked a better venue than The Ritz Carlton Sarasota for her big day!

After showing me via skype and email a dozen inspirational images, it was very easy for me to get inside Alison’s head and know what she liked and disliked and then take it to the next level.

She didn’t want a ball centerpiece, instead she wanted a classic look and feel that wasn’t too garden style and organic. We chose whites and greens for that timeless look, a mix of hydrangeas, roses, garden roses, spray roses, lisianthus, dendrobrium orchids, calla lilies, tulips and hanging amaranthus (those yummy hanging green moss strands!)

Our bride carried a stunning hand tied bouquet of white garden roses, her brides maids a more textural mix of roses, ranunculus, football

Chrysanthemums and touches of greenery to allow the bride to pop!

After skype sample meetings as Alison and Steven live in NYC we selected linens and chairs that complimented the floral as well as the clean modern ballroom at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota.

Come wedding day we packed up our refrigerated trucks and left nice and early for Sarasota. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate and the ceremony wasn’t able to be outside (it poured down as Steven broke the glass under the chuppah) we managed to reset the ceremony inside and create a stunning chuppah and ceremony space for our couple.

The cocktail hour was framed by an impressive floral arrangement on the place card table and lots of candles to add warmth.

The reception room was breathe taking with all high centerpieces which worked beautifully with the high ceilings of the Ritz Carlton Sarasota’s Plaza ballroom. We added uplighting and pinspots to high light the room and create a warm candle light glow.  Mazel Tov to our NYC couple !
